At YS Dance, we’re committed to creating a supportive, respectful, and professional environment for all students and instructors. To ensure clarity and consistency, we’ve outlined a few important policies regarding lesson cancellations, group class memberships, and private lesson packages. These policies help us manage our scheduling, studio rentals, and instructor time effectively — while also offering the best possible experience to our students.

Cancellation Policy

To ensure smooth scheduling and to respect the commitments of our instructors and rental obligations, our studio has the following cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations must be made at least one (1) full business day in advance of the scheduled lesson time.

  • Cancellations made with less than one business day’s notice will be considered a late cancellation and the full lesson fee will be charged.

  • We rent floor space and are required to pay for the time slot whether the student attends or not.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as this policy helps us compensate our instructors fairly and manage studio space efficiently.

Memberships

Group Class Membership Policy

  • Group class memberships are valid for the calendar month in which they are purchased.

  • Memberships must be renewed and paid by the 1st of each new calendar month, similar to a gym membership.

  • Payment options include: cash, epayments, credit cards, and check. 

  • Unused classes do not carry over to the next month.

  • In the case of extenuating circumstances such as injury or emergency, we may be able to place your membership on hold. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation.

Private Lesson Packages

Private Lesson Package Policy

Purchasing a private lesson package comes with exclusive benefits:

  • Unlimited group classes included at no additional cost — no need for a separate group class membership.

  • Package holders do not need to pay a monthly membership fee while their private lesson package is active.

  • To maintain access to these perks, the package must be renewed on or before the final lesson of your current package.

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase to unlock discounts, unlimited group class access, and other amenities.

  • If the package is not renewed by the last lesson, all associated perks (including unlimited group classes) will pause until the package is replenished.
